Description & Behavior :
Iguanas are diurnal, meaning that they are active during the day.
They have good sense of hearing and smell, and superb vision. They
have long fingers and claws to help them climb and grasp. They eat
plants, especially leaves, fruits and insects. Iguanas lay many eggs
at a time in holes in the ground called burrows. Clutch sizes of between
20-40 eggs are normal with an average sized female, and clutch sizes
of more than 80 eggs, are reported with very large females. After
female Iguanas lay the eggs, they leave them and when Iguana babies
hatch, they grow up without care from their parents.

Tropical Rainforest, along watercourses such as rivers or streams
